Meet Dr. Reese

I began my orthodontic career practicing for a small company in Portland and Vancouver for over a decade after I completed my residency in 2007, earning my Masters in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Following a change in ownership, the time came to help the next practice grow. I’ve helped a number of practices with their patients since then, but my career aspiration was always to own a practice of my own where I can care for my patients the way I wish to. It has truly been a lifelong dream come true when that vision came to life and I was blessed to be able to establish Reese Orthodontics with my private practice in Portland and more recently a second location in Hood River.

I grew up the oldest of three on the west side of Indianapolis where we heard the Indy cars practice for the 500 and rode our bikes catching fireflies until dinner. My father owned a private practice outside Indy and is now a retired Colonel in the Army, where he served as a General Dentist and Commander, both stateside and overseas. When we moved to Alaska where I finished high school, I discovered there were more than cornfields out there and fell in love with the gorgeous Northwest. After finishing undergrad at a small Christian university in Idaho, I returned to Indiana to complete my Dental School training and Orthodontic Residency at Indiana University then headed back to the Pacific Northwest to start our family. A decade and a half later, I now have two beautiful girls, ages 8 and 11, and two energetic boys, 14 and 16, that are the focus of my life. We love to head out on beach trips up and down the Oregon coast, drive down for sunny adventures in Bend with SUPs in the summer on the Cascades, go camping and hiking up around Mt. Hood, or take off to play in the snowy mountains – essentially anything that creates memories and gets their energy out! When I have some dad time to myself, I enjoy running, golfing, live concerts, and exploring new hidden gems of Portland’s cuisine culture.

At Reese Orthodontics our core value is to simply love on people like our own family. My staff will attest that from day one I’ve emphasized that all we have to do is show others love – to let our patients know that we care about each of their lives – and treat them as the special people they are. As a result, God has absolutely blessed Reese Orthodontics and enabled us to touch the lives of so many while giving them an amazing smile – it’s such a joy!
